Last week at Lump we hosted the Landscaping Victoria annual general meeting. Other than Christmas or birthday parties, It was the first event like this that we have hosted in the studio. The Lump crew made the Studio look amazing and even put together goodie bags for the guests that included Lump samples and the latest issues of Houses Magazine and Landscape Architecture Australia. Selena from Whisper organised everything, including the arrival of trees from our friends at Fleming's to decorate the studio and the infamous Taco Truck to feed everyone. Bruce Winstanley, former LIAV president was the MC for the night and in between the formalities of the LIAV agenda Phillip Johnson, Scott Wynd and Steve Taylor discussed the business of designing, landscaping, costs and clientele with a refreshingly candid edge. Chris and I had a great time catching up with some old buddies as well as meeting some members of the LIAV for the first time. A great night was had by all, a big thanks to Julie from the LIAV, Selena from Whispr, our very own Lump crew and Bek from Little Red Photography for taking photos on the night.
