Artisans in the Garden 2013
This year is the first time we have participated in the Artisans in the Garden exhibition, which is held at the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust in Sydney from October 19-27.
The annual spring exhibition, which is in its 13th year, will feature the work of artists from around Australia including emerging and established contemporary jewelers, sculptors, ceramicists, glassmakers, textile artists and weavers.
Our entry consists of three Leaf Skeleton Sculptures, each one standing 2.2m tall and made from corten steel with a natural rusted finish.
The Leaf Skeleton Sculpture, as you know is one of our signature pieces. The inspiration behind it is that every leaf plays a small but significant role in the larger ecological process.
The same can be said for this sculpture, which has played a significant role in Lump’s evolution.
The Leaf Skeleton Sculpture continues to stand strong in dozens of public and private commissions and installations, including this weeks AFL Grand Final event at the MCG, a roof-top garden atop a Melbourne CBD building, Channel 10’s MasterChef and a children’s play area at Fountaingate Shopping Centre.
We are honoured to be part of this exhibition – all work exhibited will be for sale with the proceeds to support the work of the Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens and the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust.
