Polaris 3083 revisited

Earlier last year we shared a couple of posts featuring a project called Polaris 3083, a commission for a major development of a new shopping and residential destination close to La Trobe University in Bundoora.

Chris from Lump sat down with the leading developer Deal Corp and architects Clarke Hopkins Clarke and together formulated two urban art projects to feature in the development.

Not long after the meeting technical drawings were set out, structural engineers gave approval and the Lumpians set to work constructing the first of the two projects in the Lump studio.

Until just recently, we only had images of this project taken on our phones. And lets face it; they just don’t do it justice. Tim Turner took a drive out to Bundoora and took these beautiful shots for us. And although we have already talked in detail about this project on the Lump blog, it would be a shame not to share these beautiful images.
